Edith Baker – Gallery Owner, Artist, D-Art Legend What a blessing for all artists, creative people and lovers of art to finally have a home as hospitable as D-Art. I loved going there, not only to see, emerging, energetic artists who felt so comfortable there, but because it was a unique space, like no other in Dallas. Patricia Meadows was the heart and soul of D-Art, such a gift to so many. The smiling face, the open arms welcoming and encouraging everyone who entered this little Oasis. What a pair Patricia and Katherine Wagner were. You felt at home whether you were rejected or accepted for an exhibition. I found some artists there who exhibited in my Gallery. Artist's work found homes in private collections, Museums and Galleries. I'll always miss this special place which was a refuge to so many. |
