“Critic’s Choice” came from D-Art.  All entrants had a chance for professional jurors to see their works. It was a coup to be accepted into these shows.
We miss a place for artists to gather informally and enjoy each other’s company."
Nancy Ferro - Artist, Art Educator   The very first entry on my resume is the 1985 “Critic’s Choice, Texas Heritage” Juried Exhibition, D-Art Visual Center. There were 3 professional art jurors….I was impressed. D-Art was a very special place and was always welcoming to Dallas Artists. I became aware of the kindness, support, and energy Patricia gave to many of us and continues to do now.  I don’t know if she would remember this but Heidi Strunck and I were in Jurgen's car at that Critic’s Choice award ceremony and managed to back it into someone’s car, locking fenders. We had to find Patricia to help us out. She wore many hats!
